There were 27 Red Ryder movies made in the 1940's, featuring the exploits of Red Ryder & his Indian companion Little Beaver.  
Red Ryder was played by "Wild" Bill Elliott, Allan "Rocky" Lane, 
Don "Red" Barry, & Jim Bannon at various times.

CALIFORNIA GOLD RUSH - 
"WILD" BILL ELLIOTT - 1946

The stagecoaches on the line owned by Colonel Parker are being robbed and the drivers killed, so the Duchess sends for Red Ryder. Businessman Ernest Murphy and his gang of outlaws that include the whistling Chopin gets hold of the letter that the Duchess wrote Red and hires the Idaho Kid to waylay him. But Red gets the drop on Idaho instead, and then poses as him and joins the gang. Murphy, realizing that Red isn't the man he hired, frames Red for stealing an ore shipment. Little Beaver helps Red escape from the Sheriff and his posse, and they set about to track down the gang.

CONQUEST OF CHEYENNE - 
"WILD" BILL ELLIOTT - 1946
Elliott's last role as Ryder finds wildcatter Tom Dean (Jay Kirby) talking the fiery Cheyenne Jackson (Peggy Stewart) into drilling for oil on her land. Town banker Tuttle (Milton Kibbee) knows there is oil on the Jackson land, and the other ranches, and refuses to lend her the money for the drilling. Cheyenne sells the local ranchers on forming a combine to raise the funds needed and Dean proceeds. Tuttle, after everybody's land, has the drilling rig blown up and Dean framed for the act. But Red Ryder (Bill Elliott as Wild Bill Elliott) isn't having any of that and begins to unravel the Tuttle scheme.

HOMESTEADERS OF PARADISE VALLEY  - ALLAN "ROCKY" LANE

Red Ryder convinces homesteaders to settle in Paradise Valley. Business men in nearby Central City want control of the valley and water supply and propose to build a dam for half interest in the land. They use Red to generate interest in the dam but when the dam is completed, they rig the stockholder's meeting so Central City will get the water. The homesteaders then go after Red whom they think is responsible.

"Iron Mike" Haines, a crooked sheriff, and "Hands" Weber, the town blacksmith, are in cahoots and have been robbing stages, silver mines, etc., and framing innocent ranchers and cowhands with their deeds. They set out to rob the stage and frame Red Ryder for it, but the plan backfires and the sheriff is killed. The sheriff's son, Tommy, arrives home from college and is given his dad's job, not knowing he was a crook, and swears to get the man who killed him. Weber tells Tommy that Red killed his dad and Tommy sets out to get Red.

PHANTOM OF THE PLAINS - 1934
When miners Jerry Mason (John Wayne) and Grandy Benson (George Hayes) turn in their gold at the assay office, the assay officials trail Benson back to the mine and shoot him. Mason is then arrested for the murder. But the supposedly dead Benson survived and now plans a surprise for the culprits at Mason's trial.

The Marshal sends John Weston to a rodeo to see if he can find out who is killing the rodeo riders who are about to win the prize money. Barton has organized the rodeo and plans to leave with all the prize money put up by the townspeople. When it appears that Weston will beat Barton's rider, he has his men prepare the same fate for him that befell the other riders.
